Dr. Rez is a board-certified emergency physician based in Maui, Hawaii, and the founder of Modo MD, a mobile medical practice built around one simple idea: serious medical care should come to you, wherever you are.

His background is unusually well-suited to the boating community. Before medicine, Dr. Rez studied marine biology at UCLA, spent time in French Polynesia, operated research vessels, and logged extensive hours diving and sailing. He later spent over a decade in emergency medicine before stepping away from the ER to build a practice focused on direct, personalized care: the kind of relationship a traditional emergency department can't offer.

Modo MD brings that care to yacht owners, cruising families, and offshore crews through concierge memberships, telemedicine, house calls, and customized medical kits. For bluewater passages and remote anchorages, Dr. Rez equips clients who need them with portable EKG and ultrasound capability, prescription travel kits, and direct access to him by phone or video, including real-time guidance for situations that would otherwise mean a medevac call.
