Captain Boomies

Captain Boomies is a professional yacht captain, delivery captain, and boat handling instructor who has been on boats since before she could crawl. She began teaching sailing at 16 and went on to spend 10 years aboard private yachts cruising worldwide, working her way up to command of larger vessels with full crews.

Today she teaches owners to handle and maintain their boats, power or sail, with more confidence and less stress. Her instruction ranges from small adjustments to docking technique and line setup to a full reset for owners with persistent docking trouble. She also runs coastal and short-range deliveries, often alongside her husband, a yacht engineer, and offers boat buyer coaching to help first-time buyers settle on the right type of boat before they start talking to brokers. She speaks at yacht clubs and hosts online classes on docking, passage planning, and new boat buying.
